Business Account Executive

Average Target Compensation: $100k plus, with a minimum commission guarantee

Job Summary: As a Business Account Executive, you play a pivotal role in selling primary and ancillary communication solutions to small and medium-sized businesses within an assigned territory. Your primary services include coax-delivered Internet, video, and voice, while ancillary services encompass custom hosting, desktop security, data backup, data storage, toll-free services, additional email addresses, static IPs, and more. Achieving sales and revenue goals is your focus, involving successful prospecting for new customers and the bundled services’ effective sale. From generating sales leads through various prospecting tactics to managing leads from initial contact to sale, you are dedicated to expanding the customer base within your territory.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Actively and consistently support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Place orders through order management software and collaborate with the Account Coordinator to ensure accurate and timely completion of administrative work.
  • Have a complete understanding of Spectrum Business coax services, rates, and applicable taxes.
  • Demonstrate selling skills and product knowledge, continually refining your skills through practice and training.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities within the assigned territory, utilizing Salesforce.com.
  • Meet and exceed performance standards defined by the department’s Standards of Performance (SOP) and the Spectrum Way Sales Model.
  • Attend and actively participate in sales meetings as established by management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Knowledge of communications technologies and services, with an emphasis on telephone and Internet fundamentals.
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of outside sales experience in a high transaction, short closing cycle model preferred.
  • Business-to-business sales experience preferred.
  • Proven sales history of meeting or exceeding targets preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment and/or outside environment with exposure to inclement weather.
  • Exposure to moderate noise levels.
