Your New Role: Empowering Teaching and Learning Through IT Support

Position Overview: As the newly appointed IT Engineer, you will be a vital member of the team reporting to the Service Delivery Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to provide high-level IT support to four primary schools in the Crewe area, ensuring effective IT support for teaching and learning activities. Your daily tasks will involve on-site visits to primary schools, delivering both hardware and software support. Additionally, you’ll work with specialized educational technologies, including interactive whiteboards and Management Information Systems (MIS). Your role encompasses handling service requests ranging from new hardware installations to software updates, resolving network incidents, and supporting the implementation of IT projects across schools and the broader organization. Collaborating closely with the Service Desk Manager, you will undergo training and receive ongoing support to enhance your IT knowledge. This role presents an ideal opportunity for IT technicians working in a school environment to progress their skills and career or for IT Technicians/Engineers to gain exposure to the education sector.

Requirements for Success: Skills and Qualifications: To secure this position successfully, you should have experience in 1st and 2nd line support, with a preference for candidates with prior experience in the education sector. A passion for delivering high-level IT support, an interest in working in education, and the ability to build strong relationships with end-users are crucial. As this is a remote-based position involving travel to various sites, a full UK driving license is a requirement.
